Tiny Toons Looniversity is a reboot of Tiny Toon Adventures featuring older versions of the characters. The new series is produced by Amblin Television and Warner Bros. Animation for Cartoon Network and HBO Max. Steven Spielberg will return as an executive producer alongside Sam Register, while the show will be run by Erin Gibson. The show was given a two-season order.[1] The show will be released sometime during the latter half of 2022.[2]

Every character from the original series and the Looney Tunes characters will return[5][3]. Charlie Adler and Tress MacNeille will not reprise their roles as Buster Bunny[4] and Babs Bunny as they will be replaced by Keith Ferguson and Ashleigh Crystal Hairston.[5][6][6] Jeff Bergman however will reprise his roles as Bugs Bunny, Foghorn Leghorn and Sylvester respectively.[2] The San Diego Comic-Con 2022 poster for the show reveals that most of the characters will return for the new series, even Elmyra, who was previously said not to appear, implying plans for her changed during development.

Unlike the original series, Buster and Babs Bunny will be twin siblings rather than friends.[7]

  • When the series was first announced, it was stated to be a sequel to the original one. It was changed to a reboot midway through production as Buster and Babs will be portrayed as twin siblings rather than being friends.
