Notes[]
- The screenwriters of this cartoon are not credited by their actual names, instead, they are credited as "The Staff". It is unknown who actually wrote this short, but it was most likely Michael Maltese and Tedd Pierce.
- Tom Turk later reappeared in the 1949 Daffy Duck short "Holiday for Drumsticks", albeit redesigned and having a different voice.
- This is the final Chuck Jones short that was animated by Rudy Larriva.
- The word Tom Turk mutters while inside the snowman is "Quisling", which is the name of the Norwegian Prime Minister Vidkun Quisling who sold out to the Nazis which would be synonymous with "traitor" and "Benedict Arnold" forever after, which, his betrayal towards Norwegians, resulted in a relatively bloodless invasion of Norway by the Nazis while Quisling himself is granted preferential custody of his occupied nation.
- The main musical motif for the short is the song "Ice Cold Katie... Won't You Marry the Soldier?", which was performed by Hattie McDaniel in the 1943 Warner Brothers film "Thank Your Lucky Stars".
- Beginning with this cartoon, all Looney Tunes (not counting the Merrie Melodies, which are still in color) will be in color instead of black and white, this time permanently.
